Come and See What a Gift Day Wellbeing event held in Woolwich Waves went down a treat with all.

A special thank you to Mayor Cllr David Gardner of the Royal Borough of Greenwich for attending our free pop up event for families and individuals in need. Who were able to access much needed essential resources during the summer holidays to help their household.

With access to free refreshments, snacks, fruits, long life essentials, toiletries, new clothing for all to gifts. All were extremely grateful and delighted with the essential gifts that they were able to take away. We also handed out Lush gifts for those who recently or upcoming birthdays within the next month as a well deserved treat.

A massive thank you to all our donating partners including Sainsbury's Dulwich, Kidbrook, Elephant & Castle, and Lewisham. To M&S Charlton for providing a gift card so we could do a much needed top up. We went for the tinned tomatoes to help people make a meal.

Also thank you to the local EE Woolwich store for donating mobile accessories to help with the safe sustainability of mobile phones.

We have to always mention our dedicated volunteers donating their time. We had Francis who travelled the extra mile and Jenny demonstrating what Retired fit looks like. There is always time to give back and it starts with the heart and passion for people. Both were rewarded with a treat bag of wellbeing goodies.

Finally a big wow wow to GLL Better Gyms, Woolwich Waves team for opening their doors once again. A great opportunity to introduce and to allow parents and individuals to experience a wellbeing environment of a leisure centre. With a mini wellbeing survey to gauge how much water they are drinking to get them thinking about air quality to riding safely with a helmet.

It was great to share with them that there is a £1 swim offer for children at special times and days throughout the year. A fantastic opportunity to encourage a life skill in an affordable and inclusive way.

Attendees were also excited to know about Sustainable Volunteering to help impact their local community while being sustained at the same time. To levelling up to Allonego and the free ecommerce shop to help them build back sustainably and help their community thrive.

All are invited to the next Come and See to say What a Gift Day while putting wellbeing at the centre of it all.
