What a Wow, Wow moment at our launch Come and See Wake Up in the City event held in Santander Work Cafe Cheapside London on Friday 25th September.
Where we brought together individuals from Millwall career event and existing Looprun Sustainable Volunteers to kickstart the Allonego Green Grass Accelerator. Where they were presented with an opportunity to get their own ecommerce online shop to just sell and be part of the shared revenue pool. To help fund their own business vision including be part having their own Popup Popshop. To help highstreets thrive again and build back sustainably.
Also to learn more about the wrap around supportive services to access free food, toiletries, clothing to sustain them, save money and impact people they know. To do good for good and impact their community. Also the opportunity to attend pop up events at exhibitions, career fairs, leisure centres and stadiums. To gain event management experience and receive a reference to support their journey to Level Up. Also to socially connect throyhgh the Allonego Thrive community.
After the presentation they were split into groups for Team Mentorship. Where business and industry individuals share their knowledge and expertise through an introduction and question and answer session.
A thank you to chattered accountant Nigel Gilroy from the FD Studio in running a presentation workshop to help the pre startups kick start the right way. We would like to acknowledge our dedicated volunteer Alison who kindly took notes on behalf of Nigel to showcase the real conversations taking place.
Including Sunil, Santander business manager for being the professional and down to earth whizz in all things business banking and pre startup knowledge. Helping to support Allonego members the future generation of sustainable business builders in the community.
We are tremendously grateful to Barking and Dagenham councillors for attending. Rubina Siddiqui, cabinet member of Inclusive Economy & Skills. Also Cllr Simon Perry, cabinet member for Culture and Heritage. Both attending to learn more about the vision in action to get local high streets thriving while getting cities waking up again.
A special thank you to Jackie, branch manager including the Cheapside Team for helping to make this happen.
Truly grateful to Ozone Coffee for providing the hot refreshments for the event including the variety of milks and teas to cater to all preferences.
A special mention to Tesco Cheapside, Russel the Community Champion, and team for donating the cold refreshments of water, soft drinks, fruits, pastries, treats and snacks.
All pre startups were able to take gifts away with them at the end of the day. Including Jackie, from the Small Business Research & Enterprise Centre in the City of London for their tote bags, pens and notepads. To CIMA for their endless socks and pens our attendees love to pick up. With surprise Lush treats to add that extra TLC. It was great to see the delight and smiles on faces all around. An impactful day of sustainable opportunities, knowledge sharing, vision and purpose all coming together in All One Go!

Thank you Lush
A massive thank you to Lush Cheapside, London for donating 4 bags worth of natural luscious products all with a divine scent and bringing that extra wow factor. We were able to give these out at our free pop up Come and See What a Gift Day event in Wavelengths Leisure Centre Deptford. We were able to gift a lady who is in a refuge with three children and could not believe her eyes. As well as accessing free refreshments, fruits, non perishable items, new clothing and gifts she was extremely grateful for the extra surprise at the end with something to treat herself with.
We also were able to gift to a service user who was recently moved from the streets to supportive housing. With response bags of new cosy pyjamas bottoms, clothing essentials, ready made meals, vegetables, bread, bakery items, fruits, and non perishable items. Toiletries and we included a gift bag of Lush items which was well received.
Seeing all these eyes pop and smiles have been so worth it. We look forward to making sure people experience the generosity of Lush and the care they put into their products for people. We have given Lush the big thumbs up.

Thank you Tesco Woolwich
A very special thank you to Tesco Woolwich for the donation of clothing for our free pop up Come and See What a Gift Day events held in leisure/ community centres, stadiums, and schools.
We had such a wonderful variety of clothing for babies, toddlers, teens to women and men. From every day essentials, school wear, including nightwear too.
The items will go a long way and surely put a smile on faces to show donated clothing can be picked up in a fun and dignified way with no questions asked. Do you need it, then take it. Come and See What a Gift Day!

Thank you Sainsburys Dulwich
A Come and See Leisure event was held for the community in the borough of Lewisham with attendees keen to get active with donations and more.
With a massive thank you to our core donators Sainsbury's Dulwich for the clothing, refreshments, snacks, non perishables, gifts and pet food and toys. Also a special thank you to Sainsbury's Loampit Vale for a shopping budget to get an abundance of fresh fruit from bananas, apples, tangerines and satsumas. An important contribution for access to a well balanced diet. A final thank you to both Sainsbury's Elephant Castle and Lewisham shopping centre for their non perishable donations to help top up.
This was a great demonstration of stores collectively contributing for the community both locally to far and wide.
This event is all about responding to people with what do they need. All for free, just to Come and See.
We also had Nigel Troup from Utility Warehouse who was able to see if parents and individuals were able to save better on utility to household and personal connectivity.
Local school parents and families were invited from the Lewisham borough. Attendees were able to register for more free events, and get access to supportive services including learning about the sustainable volunteering opportunity. Also invited to attend the Allonego Thrive webinar on how to get access to their own free online ecommerce shop. With pre selected well-being and eco friendly products to Just Sell and help generate 1 meal items for a person in need. Also earn commission at the same time without having to deal with any deliveries or inventory.
People and children could not believe all the items that were free and brand new. The donation variety, the amount and especially all the extra supportive services available to help narrate a person out of their need and help make things happen. Overall impacting over 30 families and individuals in need, with many showing interest in the sustainable volunteering opportunity and Allonego Thrive.
A special thank you to Matthew, the Manager of Better Gyms, Glass Mill Leisure Centre, for opening the door to us once again. Also to the gym team for helping with signposting and onsite event set up.
Grateful that we are able to host within a fitness, health and wellbeing environment to inspires households and people to make it part of their lifestyle.
The final outcome is the mutual agreement that the only way is up, and building back sustainably to help communities thrive is where it is going.

Thank you Millwall Football Grounds
What a kickstart with our first football stadium to host our free pop up Come and See What a Gift Day event.
A massive shoutout to Millwall Community Trust for making this happen at Millwall.
A special thanks to Employability and Mentoring Officer Duane Ramsay who went the extra mile and above and beyond to make this happen.
Also thank you to all the twenty, 18-24 year olds both current and programme leavers for attending.

Introducing them to sustainable volunteering and about being a Looprun Responder. To access free ready to eat food donations from food retailers. A flexible opportunity to help improve on customer service, wellbeing, to encourage networking and impact their local community. As well as the smart choice to be sustained themselves, save money and gain a reference to boost their CV and career searching.
Also to gain practical work experience (PWE) to gain event management experience at our free pop up events and stands at leisure centres, stadiums, exhibitions and career fairs.
Level Up
Taking it further through Allonego where they can gain their own ecommerce website to Just Sell and earn commission including from a shared revenue pool. An opportunity to help fund their business vision and even work towards having their own Popup Popshop in 3-6 months time. It was an eye opening opportunity to get the spark going and really focusing on a purpose and plan to make things happen.
After the presentation all were invited to access the free donated refreshments, snacks, fruits, long life items pet food and new clothing items. A very special thank you to Sainsbury's Dulwich for helping to make this happen.
There was an opportunity to have a one to one on what interested them and also answer any general questions too. A enjoyable session with keen interest to take it to the next stage with wonderful feedback. Here are a few to read:

The sponsorship helped with our Come and See What a Gift Day event at Millwall for 18-24 year olds on Tuesday 6th October. Which was a roaring success, kickstarting the journey of sustainable volunteering, PWE (practical work experience) and entrepreneurship through the Green Grass Accelerator.
This will also contribute towards our upcoming event at Better Gym, Glass Mill Leisure Centre in Lewisham on Friday 9th October. Helping us to make a return to the first leisure centre who opened the doors to our Come and See events. This will benefit 18-24 year olds invited from 6 London stadium projects including priority parents from local schools. Creating a wellbeing space for picking up essential items from long life essentials, toiletries, pet food, new clothing, and gifts. Also an opportunity to be introduced to the Green Grass Accelerator and wrap around supportive services to help a person get back on their feet. To help communities build back sustainably.
